Ryan
Cabrera is a singer, songwriter and guitarist from Texas
that find his fame while playing with a local Dallas band
named Rubix’s Groove. His hobby of playing the guitar
dates back to his high school days when he was inspired
by The Dave Matthews Band. He and his band played all over
Dallas and they were met with some fair success opening
for such bands like Cheap Trick and Third Eye Blind. But
it wasn’t until his brother gave him a birthday present
of some studio time that Ryan’s solo career took off.
He recorded one song and the studio liked his sound so much
that they offered to record an entire album for free. His
debut album, Elm St., performed so well in the local Dallas
market that he landed a contract with Atlantic Records and
the ear of co-producer Johnny Rzeznick of the Goo Goo Dolls.
Ryan
Cabrera released his first album, Take It All Away, in 2004
and it debuted in the number 8 slot on the Billboard charts.
His first single, “On the Way Down,” hit number
15 on the Billboard Hot 100. While having the success of
Take It All Away climb the charts, Ryan became involved
in a high profile relationship with Ashlee Simpson and appeared
on several episodes of her reality show. The pair also did
concerts together across the US but the relationship eventually
ended in 2005.
Ryan
Cabrera continues to tour the US performing for his new
found fans and setting the stage for his next album. With
the success of his debut, Ryan will definitely have his
work cut out for him and with a little luck, Ryan Cabrera
concert tickets will begin to sell out at larger venues
than his high school tours.
